Project 007 is the working title of an upcoming video game based on Ian Fleming's British secret agent James Bond. Currently under development by IO Interactive, the project is the first AAA standalone 007 game to be produced after an eight-year hiatus following Eurocom's poorly received 007 Legends (2012).

- The game was officially announced under its working title "Project 007" on 19th November 2020[1]
- The new James Bond video-game ''Project 007'' will be released on modern systems and platforms according to IO Interactive but it is not known specifically which ones. This allegedly includes PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
- IO Interactive is using the ''Glacier'' video-game design software that was used to develop their successful ''Hitman'' series of video-games.
- Robert Marick, MGM Executive Vice President of Global Consumer Products and Experiences, said: "James Bond has a strong legacy in the video game space, with some of the most iconic games of all-time based on the character. Working with our partners at EON and the talented team at IO Interactive, we plan to bring a new take on this legendary franchise to gamers and Bond fans around the world. IO Interactive are masters of crafting living, breathing worlds of immersive storytelling."
- IO Interactive in collaboration with MGM, EON Productions and Delphi announced on 20th November 2020 that they are developing the very first James Bond origin story with the working title ''Project 007''. According to Tech Buzz Ireland, ''the origin story won't be based on the James Bond origin story contained in Ian Fleming's original Casino Royale novel or in the 2006 movie adaptation in which Daniel Craig first played the charismatic spy. Nor will the origin story of Project 007 be based on the prequel novels (namely Forever and a Day) written by Anthony Horowitz.''

- IO Interactive is working closely with the the James Bond licensors, MGM and Eon Productions, so the new game willy closely resemble the modern movie world of the James Bond of the film franchise.
