Jon Bon Jovi’s interview on ITV’s This Morning had viewers wondering if he was ‘uncomfortable’ after he made a quick exit.

The moment Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard concluded the chat and announced the show was going to air an advert break, the legendary musician got up from the sofa and shook both of their hands before walking off the set.

The exchange didn’t go unnoticed by those watching from home, with one person using a GIF of Forrest Gump running. ‘Well Jon Bon Jovi made a swift exit,’ account BevYorkshire wrote alongside it.

Emmy25171095 described it as ‘legging it out,’ while BethJayne666 added: ‘Jon Bon Jovi immediately leaving is so funny.’

GeordieGalg thought he ‘could not get out of there quick enough’.

After the advert break, Ben, 49, and Cat, 47, commented on how lovely he was and added he had to go along to his next commitment.

Despite their praise, some people described the interview as ‘uncomfortable’.

‘He really didn’t want to be there!’ Simy_78 decided.

Lockiebaws wrote: ‘Is there someone behind Jon Bon Jovi pointing a gun at him because he looks and sounds like he’d rather be ANYWHERE but on that sofa.’

‘Well that wasn’t awkward at all. Jon couldn’t get out of there quick enough,’ chimed in JxmesNC.

During the 62-year-old’s interview, he reflected on his 40-year career with his band, Bon Jovi.

‘I get asked throughout my career, “What would you tell your younger self?” and it’s – “Slow down, it’s OK, we’re gonna be here, it all works out in the end!”‘ he shared. It certainly did!

As well as working on a new documentary, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, the rock star has plenty going on in his personal life too with plenty of family weddings coming up.

For his daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi’s special day, the dad-of-four has penned a song for her. ‘I first wrote a song for her when she was five, now she’s 30 and getting married – you blink and these things happen, so there’s a song on the record called Kiss The Bride which is quite moving for me…’ he told Cat and Ben.

Jon Bon Jovi is yet to play it for her as he’s too nervous, and joked that he needed a ‘backbone’.

‘Two of my sons are getting married too! It’s a crazy year,’ he added. This includes Jake Bongiovi who is set to marry Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown.

The American singer and guitarist recently revealed his music career could be ‘done’ if he is unable to recover from a vocal injury.

‘We have a new album out in June and I had no issues singing this, the successful surgery happened, now it’s all part of the rehabilitation,’ he explained.

‘For over 40 years my vocal chords have worked really hard. My hope is to do it [tour] again, but if I’m not at one hundred percent then I’m done, it’s that simple. But believe me, I’m very far down the road of recovery at this point.

‘I’m not there yet and the bar is two and a half hours a night, four days a week…. that’s what we do. If we’re gonna play, we play.’

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1

Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story will be available to watch on Hulu and Disney+ from April 26
