1) 5-minute Breakfast – Oats, Granola, Yoghurt and Fresh Fruit

This is my absolute go-to breakfast. I have a variation of this breakfast whenever I don´t have the time (or can’t be bothered) to make anything else. It takes me no more than 5 minutes to prepare and uses ingredients I always have in the house: whole rolled oats, granola, natural yoghurt and a banana.

2) Smoothie Bowl – Ice Cream for Breakfast?!

Smoothie Bowls are all over the place at the moment, and initially I wasn´t convinced they were something that could actually fill you up. Then, however I discovered some recipes that were using both banana and avocado as their main components, two things I often include in my breakfast because they are quite filling.

With a little inspiration from the web, I eventually created this blueberry smoothie bowl. It tastes amazing and is a real treat – it´s like having ice cream for breakfast! The most fun thing about it though, is that you can top it with whatever you like! I really love adding chia seeds, fresh fruit, granola or chopped nuts! But the choice is completely yours!

This is something you can make if you have a little more time on your hands in the morning. Some components, the frozen banana, for example, should be prepared in advance. After that, it takes me about 5-10 minutes to prepare this breakfast, depending on how much effort I go to with the toppings.

If you don´t like the sound of a blueberry smoothie bowl, why not try building your own smoothie bowl with the flavours you want. This post by tasty is quite helpful I think. It gives you all the different options for fruits, liquids and toppings you can choose from and what quantities you can use.

3) Chocolate Overnight Oats – MY FAVOURITE

Overnight oats, a breakfast that you canprepare the night before for a super speedy solution in the morning!

These Chocolate Overnight Oats are my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE overnight oat recipes, and also one of my favourite breakfasts. It’s healthy AND you can have CHOCOLATE FOR BREAKFAST!

It takes me about 10 minutes to prepare this breakfast the night before, and about 5 more to add the toppings in the morning. The perfect thing to do whilst waiting for the kettle to boil for a lovely morning cup of tea!

If you are in a real hurry in the morning, you can even already slice the fresh banana, add some blueberries and/or a dollop of almond butter on top the night before!
To take this breakfast with you for on-the-go, why not just prepare it in a small Tupperware? That way you can literally take it out of the fridge in the morning, put it in your bag and have it once you get to university!

If you want to try some different overnight oat recipes, I often take some inspiration from the recipes on fitfoodiefinds!

4) Avocado and Egg Omelette Toast

Avocado and egg on toast, another breakfast classic, but no wonder when it is so quick and easy to make! Simply smash some avocado on a piece of bread, crack eggs in a bowl, whisk, fry and bob´s your uncle! The three ingredients for this breakfast, bread, eggs and avocado are all very filling and will definitely tide you over until lunch! Chose whatever bread you like, but I prefer using wholegrain rye bread. You can get some pretty good (and cheap!) rye bread at Lidl in the UK now, which I´d recommend trying!

Prepare your eggs first and deal with theavocado toast part whilst they are cooking, and this breakfast recipe will beready for you to enjoy in only 10 minutes!

5) Banana and Cinnamon Porridge

This breakfast is one for those cold, miserable mornings! Porridge may sound boring and tasteless, but it really doesn’t have to be!

Adding banana to the oat mix on the cooker is really perfect, as the “melted” banana adds a lovely sweetness to the porridge! Add a little cinnamon to the mix and you have a match made in heaven! Top with some more banana and other seasonal fruit – or sprinkle over a handful of granola! It’s yummy, it’s filling and it will warm you up!
